The Whitworth Art Gallery is a special place packed with wonderful works of art, which seeks to embody three key values: intelligence, accessibility and quirkiness. The Friends try to do the same.
For over seventy years the Friends have supported the Gallery and have helped them to purchase more than a thousand new works of art to add to the collection. They also fund special projects including children’s workshops and informal Sunday concerts.
Explore this site to learn more about the Friends; the news page has a collection of recent reports and details of Friends’ activities while the photo gallery shows the variety of trips and excursions that are available to members.
