Look Club - 'Entangled and Woven'

Our Look Clubs are an opportunity for Friends and Student Friends to get together to discuss an artwork or exhibition in the gallery. It is always interesting to hear opinions from the different age groups.

This Look Club will be introduced by Amy George the curator of the magnificent exhibition 'Entangled and Woven' which brings together new work by eight contemporary artists and collectives from Korea and India with historic textiles from the Whitworth’s collection. The exhibition traces surprising connections between Manchester’s industrial past and living craft traditions shaped by culture, migration, labour and care.  

In this Look Club we will look at two or three of the exhibits and share our ideas and responses. 

When: October 20th from 1.30 to 2.30
