RNCM on the Road
Paramount Brass:

Formed in 2023 at the Royal Northern College of Music, Paramount Brass are an up-and-coming brass quintet. Based in Manchester, the group enjoy a busy calendar together; performing across the North at venues including Leeds Cathedral and Preston County Hall, and leading educational workshops in Cumbria as part of the RNCM’s Brass Engage programme.
A ‘flagship ensemble’ of the college, they have performed numerous internal engagements, most notably their popular ‘Spotlight’ concert in February 2025 which featured Bernstein’s Dance Suite and highlights from West Side Story. In May 2025, they were finalists in the Philip Jones Brass Chamber Prize, after a ‘glorious and dramatic performance’. The group look forward to continuing to perform together throughout the rest of their studies.
