Blackpool is an extraordinary location of rich cultural history and contemporary popular culture and The Grundy Art Gallery has been at the centre of artistic life in Blackpool for over 100 years. It is now recognized as a leading contemporary visual arts venue in the northwest region with a growing national and international profile.

Our visit will include a tour of the gallery and the latest exhibition 'New Contemporaries'. Paulette Brien, The Grundy and Manchester Contemporary Fair curator,  has arranged for an local artist to talk and guide us around this exhibition. For something different for 'lunch', we have booked Afternoon Tea served at 1.00pm (included in cost) and followed by a visit of the Tower Ballroom and Circus, Blackpool.
