Eros Wind Quintet
Jessie-May Wilson flute
Mariam Jackson oboe
Sam Austin clarinet
Beatriz Carvalho bassoon
Dominic Allison French horn
The Eros Quintet formed in the Autumn of 2021, as a means of playing and performing together in the wake of a turbulent couple of years. Since then, they have enjoyed working together on a variety of projects and exploring the full range of repertoire for the ensemble.
As a collective, their ambition is to broaden the horizons of wind quintet writing, and to play their part in securing the future of wind quintet music. They have recently commissioned a piece by composer, Flowers Tannenbaum, and are looking to premier this in the near future. They hope to be in a position to use their platform to promote new music from less established composers, whilst embracing the ensemble’s roots.
