We are organising a 5-day trip to London travelling by Private Coach from Manchester and we will be accompanied by experienced Guide, Jane Brand
Due to the re-scheduling of this tour from 2020 our revised itinerary has been planned to include and take advantage of our time when travelling to / from and whilst in London and we aim to include the following interesting and especially varied visits:
20/03/22 PM - Lightbox Wapping – Bridget Riley: Pleasures of Sight
21/03/22
AM – Spencer House – Built between 1756 & 1766 for John, 1st Earl of Spencer. London’s most magnificent & finest surviving 18th century palace
PM – 2 Temple Place - Body Vessel Clay, Black Women, Ceramics & Contemporary Art

AM – Tate Britain the home of British art from 1500 to the present day. The largest collection of British art in the world with masterpieces by J.M.W. Turner, John Constable & John Everett Millais, as well as modern and contemporary art too from Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, Barbara Hepworth, David Hockney & Bridget Riley. Including Exhibition - Life Between Islands
PM – Museum of Order of St John - a hidden jewel which tells the unique story of an ancient religious military Order from its origins caring for sick pilgrims in 11th century Jerusalem, through to its modern-day role with St John Ambulance

AM – Pitzhanger Manor – country home of Sir John Soane
PM – Courtauld Gallery located in the magnificent Somerset House this recently restored gallery is home to one of the world's great art collections, including Impressionist masterpieces such as Van Gogh’s Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear & Manet’s A Bar at the Folies Bergère

AM – Clothworker’s Hall a very special collection of tapestries, plates, clocks and other works of art. The Clothworkers Company is an ancient Livery Company with a rich textile heritage
