Formed in Spring 2018, Project6 aims to promote the beauty and the distinctive sound world of male-voice ensemble singing. The group, with all the singers coming from the RNCM, enjoys the versatility of performing different music, ranging from the Medieval and Renaissance to the contemporary arrangements of folklore, R&B and jazz music, at the finest quality. It started its debut at Spotlight: The Antique Relique in March 2018 at the RNCM, and made an appearance at the Monday Lunchtime Recital Series at the RNCM in October 2018 with huge acclaim.

Sunday 3 February 2019: Lucida Saxophone Quartet– The Lucida Saxophone Quartet is an upcoming and innovative ensemble comprising members of the Royal Northern College of Music (Kezia Lovick-Jones, Becky Corbett, Ellen Pointon, Tas Noguchi). Formed in 2017, the group regularly performs a wide range of music, from traditional saxophone repertoire to contemporary commissions.
Sunday 17 February 2019: Freeman String Quartet- String Quartet No 19 in C Major, K 465 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, nicknamed "Dissonance" because of its unusual slow introduction, is perhaps the most famous of his quartets. It is the last in the six quartets composed between 1782 and 1785 that he dedicated to Joseph Haydn.
Sunday 3 March 2019: Calla Flute Quartet– Calla flutes are a new vibrant flute quartet made up of students from the RNCM. Individually they are fine flute players, and as a group they were placed second in the Fewkes chamber prize for woodwind. In their concert you will be welcomed with somewell-loved music arranged for the combination from Barber to Ravel, as well as flute favourites from the baroque and French music genres.
Sunday 24 March 2019: Paula O’Malley and Andrew Broome– Marimba and Clarinet duo will be performing Daughtrey’s Strange Dreamsamong other works.
Sunday 14 April 2019: Brass Quartet Menine. This is part of their Easter tour.
